The Cicogna, based on our new Tango block-heel shape, is a folkloric re-interpretation of the 90s knee-length boot. The uppers of the boot – each unique – are carefully constructed from vintage hand-embroidered handkerchiefs sold to me by my friend Mirella who spends her days traveling around Liguria and neighbouring regions purchasing linen trousseaus of the 1800 and 1900s, and has herself sewn the uppers for me. These uppers are lined and assembled on a premium Italian leather sole and stacked heel in our usual factory.
