The new Simona Vanth Princess is the latest signature example of our “hybrid” design approach. We have used materials, manufacturing “tricks” and an unusual series of supplier-collaborators to transform a shoe we love very much for its chicness and icon status but would never wear - the Italian rubber grommet-soled driver moccasin – into a contemporary very very sad princess wardrobe must! The iconic grommet sole and tubular moccasin construction of the classic driver shoe remain… But between the midsole and grommets we have inserted a ultralight EVA 50mm wedge sole, the traditional loafer shape becomes a kind of Moroccan back-alley nylon slipper with a black lace rose pom-pom.
